SOS to Ibadan DisCo

On behalf of residents of Ifesowapo Oloko General Landlords and Landladies Association, Oloko, Oluyole LGA, Ibadan, Oyo state, we humbly request for a 300KVA transformer in our community.
The only transformer that is serving Oloko and Olosa-Oko at Ona-Ara local government area is overloaded due to the increase in number of houses that are using the transformer.
Moreover, in order for Olosa-Oko’s transformer to have a longer life span and for us at Oloko to have a regular voltage of 220Volts, we suggest that Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) should grant the request by allocating and fixing a transformer for Oloko, Oluyole residents.
This will, no doubt, increase IBEDC’s internally generated revenue.
Oloko residents have been facing epileptic supply of electricity.
We believe, without any iota of doubt that the Oyo State government will assist us in resolving these issues.
However, we know that prompt payment of bills will influence the decision of IBEDC to invest in critical infrastructure such as transformers.
We promise to pay our bills promptly to enable IBEDC have more funds to invest in infrastructure upgrade.
However, the irony is that, most residents pay taxes regularly, but we do not benefit from the dividends of democracy.
It would gladden the hearts of Oloko residents if this humble request is favourably granted as soon as possible.
We eagerly look forward to hearing from IBEDC and Oyo State Government.
