South West govs appoint chairman, 5 ODUA investment board members

Owner-states of ODUA Investment Company Limited have appointed Dr Lawrence Segun Aina as the new chairman for the conglomerate.

According to a statement made available to newsmen in Ibadan by the ODUA Investment Company Limited Head, Corporate Affairs, Mr Victor Ayetoro, the owner state governors also approved the appointment of five board members into the board of the investment company.

The statement stressed that chairman of the South-west Governors’ Forum and  Ondo state governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN)  on behalf of the shareholders, expressed confidence in the individual capabilities of the board members.

Governor Akeredolu maintained that the  nominations of the new chairman and other board members  were made after careful consideration of their wealth of experience, integrity and deep knowledge of the business environment.

The governors tasked them to contribute their competence and expertise towards the repositioning and restructuring of the organisation in order to enhance performance, profitability and sustainable growth of the company’s business as well as to ensure that it delivers on  its mandate to be the engine room for the economic development of the South-west.

The five new directors are Chief Segun  Ojo (a former Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning in Ondo); Dr. Tola Kasali (who served as Commissioner for Rural Development in Lagos between 2003-2007); Barrister Seni Adio (SAN); Mr. Olusegun Olujobi; and Otunba Bimbo Ashiru, a renowned banker and immediate past Commissioner for Commerce and Industry in Ogun.
