Spain send Falconets crashing out of the World Cup

Spain have sent the Falconets crashing from the 2018 World Cup in France after they won 2-1 today to qualify for the semi-final.
They will now face the winners of the quarterfinal between hosts France and defending champions North Korea for a place in the final.
They thus avenged a 2-1 loss to the Africans two years in Papua New Guinea.
Spain took the lead after 13 minutes, when skipper Aitana Bonmati curled a leftfooted shot from the edge of the box beyond goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie.
The Europeans were then unlucky not to be awarded a second goal when an effort crashed against the underside the bar with the goalkeeper beaten.
Television replays later showed the ball had crossed the goalline.
However, they doubled their lead through Patricia Guijarro in first half stoppage time.
It was her fifth goal of the tournament.
That was after Nnadozie had pulled off a one-on-one save in the 42nd minute.
Nigeria pulled a goal back in the 57th minute through a strike by Peace Efih to make it a keener contest.
They continued to chase the game for an equaliser, but they could not manage it.
