Speaker extols Nasarawa politician for defecting to APC

Speaker of the Nasarawa state Assembly, Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, has said the defection of Mr.
John Mamman, a PDP chieftain in the state and hundreds of his supporters marked the end of the party in Kokona local government area of the state.
The speaker made this known yesterday in Kokona in response to the defection of Mamman, a renowned politician and longest serving “PDP General” in Kokona area of the state.
The speaker said that the defection of Mamman from PDP to All Progressives Congress would boost APC’s chances of winning all elective positions in the area and the state at large.
“With the defection of Mamman to APC, it marks the end of PDP not only in Kokona local government area of the state but in the Nasarawa West senatorial district at large.
“We have been waiting for him to join our party, now that God has touched him to join us, PDP is finished,” he said.
He called on the people of the area to work with Mamman in order to ensure the victory of the party come 2019 and beyond, adding that the President Muhammadu Buhari and Umaru Al-Makura APC led-government had brought the needed and positive change to the people of the state and Nigeria at large.
John Mamman also said, joining the APC would provide him the chance to contribute his quota to the development of the state and the country in general
