Sports ministry lauds Nimrod for sponsoring Northwest volleyball holiday clinic


The Zonal Coordinator Northwest, Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports (FMYS), Mr Olusola Luke, has commended Engr. Musa Nimrod for sponsoring U-15 volleyball festival/ holiday clinic that just ended in Kaduna. 
The fourth edition of the clinic saw 200 children between the ages of 3-14 from six Northwest states took part in the volleyball holiday festival/ clinic, where they are taught the basics of the game and how to play it.  
Children from Zamfara, Kano, Katsina, Sokoto, Kebbi and hosts Kaduna states took part in the clinic which held at the gymnasium hall of the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.
Addressing the closing ceremony, FMYS Zonal Coordinator lauded the President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), Engineer Musa Nimrod, for always assisting the zone through sponsorship of various competitions in the zone.
“As a zone, we remain thankful to the NVBF President, Engineer Nimrod for sponsoring and sustaining this holiday clinic. It is our prayers that God will continue to sustain his efforts and replenishes his finances ” he prayed.
Speaking at the end of the holiday clinic, the sponsor, Engineer Nimrod, who is Chairman of Kaduna State Volleyball Association and also the Northwest Zonal representative in NVBF, reiterated his commitment towards ensuring that volleyball develops from the grassroots.
He assured all participants and stakeholders that he will sustain the sponsorship of the holiday clinic, stressing that his joy is to see young ones showcasing their talents for the game.
“I wish to encourage parents to always allow their children to showcase their talents through sports. It will help them physically, educationally and mentally and will help them to remain fit.”
Some of the participants, particularly the very young ones expressed their willingness to continue to play volleyball and hoped that they will become stars in the future.
