Stallion Group commences empowering rice farmers

Stallion Group has commenced empowering Nigerian farmers by impacting them with farming knowledge in order to ensure a rice revolution into the country.
The company in a statement yesterday said its major emphasis has been to empower women and youth in rice value chain hence it has entered into MOUs with almost 600 cooperative groups having 24000 members.
“The major focus for Stallion has been to strengthen the Farmers and their Rice Farming knowledge in order to bring in a rice revolution into the country. It is a multi-leveled approach not only to increase the area but also to transform the Rice Farming and Rice Business sector through the quality produce and farm productivity.
“Therefore at the farmers level the group formed “Progressive Farmers Association”, and devised a “Village School” (a farmer’s Training Model) & “ On Farm Trials” (Practical Demonstrations) that are being executed to impart technical know -how to promote advanced rice farming and to improve farm yields and bring insustainable and scalable growth to the Farm Community and Farmers.
“Our emphasis has been also to empower Women and Youth in Rice Value Chain. During the course of its interaction and Integration services, our company has entered into MOUs with almost 600 Cooperative groups having 24000 members,” THR statement reads It stated that it has interests and operations in entire West African Countries amongst various sectors which include Food Trading, Agriculture Farming, Rice Mills, Fertilizers and Agro Chemicals, Fish Farming and Trading, Plastics & Packaging, Steel and Mining, and Auto Manufacturing
