Stock market gains N320bn

on the floor of Nigerian Exchange on Wednesday continue growth trend, appreciating by N320 billion.

Market capitalisation of listed equities increased by l 1.25 per cent to N25.952 trillion from N25.632 trillion reported the previous day. The NGX All Share Index also appreciated by 592.85 basis points to 48138.71 points from 47545.86 points traded on Tuesday.

Investors during the day exchanged 349.560 million shares valued at N3.699 Billion in 4587 deals against 365.453 million shares worth N7.106 billion exchanged hands the previous day in 5790 deals.

An analysis of the investment showed that

Japaul Gold led gainers table during the day, increasing by 10 per cent to N0.33, Eterna Plc followed with a gain of 10 per cent to N5.50, Guinness Nigeria Plc added 9.96 per cent to N82.25, Meyer Paint increased by 9.66 per cent to N1.93, Wapic Insurance gained 9.52 per cent to N0.46.

On the contrary,

Union Dicon recorded the highest loss due NG the day declining by 9.60 per cent to N8.95, CWG trailed with a loss of 9.28 per cent to N0.85, John Holt dipped by 8.97 per cent to N0.71, Regal Insurance down by 8.57 per cent to N0.32 while SUNU Assurance sheds 8.57 per cent to N0.33.
