The nation’s equity market yesterday sustained declining profile, shedding N281 billion as selling off pressure persist.
Market Capitalisation of listed equities decreased by 1.04 per cent to N26.783 trillion from N27.064 trillion reported the previous day.
Investors traded 206.217 million shares valued at N3.920 billion in 5053 deals against 829.551 million shares cost N4.105 billion exchanged hands in 4977 deals.
A review of the transactions showed that UPDC REITs led gainers table during the day, improving by 9.23 per cent to N3.55, RTBriscoe followed with account of 8.57 per cent to N0.35, Chams Plc gained 8.33 per cent to N0.26, Custodian Investment gained 7.94 per cent to N6.80, Livestock Feeds increased by 4.35 per cent to N1.20.
On the contrary, Lasaco Insurance topped losers chart during the day, shedding 10 per cent to N0.90, Stanbic IBTC followed with drop of 9.98 per cent to N28.40, Cadbury down by 9.94 per cent to N15.40, Nestle Nigeria Plc dropped by 9.84 per cent to N1262.00 ,Mansard declined by 9.47 per cent to N1.72.
