Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has awarded contract for the construction of N1.26 billion modern bus terminal in Lafia.
While laying the foundation on Wednesday, Sule said the project was aimed at decongesting the state capital of indiscriminate motor parks.
Sule said the projects would also improve on the revenue base of the state, and provide job opportunities to the teeming youths.
Contractor handling the project Architect. Shehu Tukur of Canonic Associates said the modern bus terminal was designed and built with 350-vehicle parking capacity to be completed within a period of 10 months.
He said the project would contain filling stations, ATM machines and drivers’ lounge among other facilities.
