Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state Thursday, commended the federal government for the release of over N8 billion for the completion of Farin-Ruwa Hydro power Dam in Wamba local government area of the state.
Sule gave the commendation at a stakeholders meeting on COVID-19 in Lafia, the Nasarawa state capital.
Sule also expressed gratitude to President Muhammad Buhari for taking over the 15 kilometer road construction project between Sisin Baki and Farin Ruwa.
He said the Farin Ruwa project has the capacity to generate 20 megawatts of electricity and would attract other tourist when completed.
He described federal government’s attention on the projects as unprecedented, considering the rich potentials endowed in the area.
The governor said the meeting was to review and come up with further strategic measures to mitigate the spread of COVID- 19 in the state.
