Sule Malaika headlines Ogbe-Alara festival

Fuji music star Suleiman Alao Malaika is billed to perform at the world famous Ogbe- Alara traditional festival as well as the official launch of Adeyus Magazine, which is equally dedicated to the promotion of black culture and traditions, slated to hold between November 19 and 21, 2020 at the Ajadi Lawal Events Centre, Lagos Island.

According to the chief organiser of the traditional festival, Chief Yusuf Adekola, the event is a convergence of Ifa worshippers both in Nigeria and diaspora.
He said the annual festival was a means to ensure that traditional religions in Nigeria were further promoted.

“This is the 11th edition of the Ogbe- Alara festival. We are focused on the promotion and protection of traditional religions such as the Ifa religion. And we believe as Africans, we must continue to uphold our traditional religions,” Adekola stated.
“We also use the festival to showcase upcoming musicians alongside top stars. Last year, we had King Saheed Osupa and this year, Alayeluwa Sule Alao Malaika is the headline artist,” he added.

He further revealed that the twin event would be witnessed by eminent personalities from different walks of life as well as community and traditional leaders.
Also expected are royal fathers including Oniru of Iruland HRM Oba Wasiu Gbolahan Lawal; HRM Fatai Aromire of Ijora Kingdom; HRM Saheed Ademola Elegushi of Ikateland.
