Sultan commissions remodeled Potiskum central mosque

The Sultan of Sokoto and President of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar II, has commended the efforts of the Fika Emirate Council for renovating the Potiskum Central Mosque.
Sa’ad Abubakar, who was represented by the Emir of Bauchi, Dr. Rilwanu Sulyman Adamu, made the remark at the weekend while commissioning the newly renovated and remodeled Potiskum Central Mosque in Yobe state.
In his address, the Emir of Fika and Chairman, Yobe state council of chiefs, Dr. Muhammad Ibn Abali Muhammad Idrissa, while tracing the history of the mosque, thanked Yobe state government and all other donors that contributed to the completion of the project.
Yobe state Governor, Ibrahim Gaidam, who was represented by his Deputy, Abubakar D. Aliyu, urged Nigerians to develop interest in the nation while the leaders should remember that they would be accountable to Allah on their responsibilities.
He urged all to look for knowledge and make good use of it in their daily affairs.
The Shehu of Bama, Emirs of Askira, Hadejia, Bade, Kazaure, Shani, Nafada, Katagum, Fika and Fune were among the royal fathers that attended the commissioning.
