Sultan, JAMB boss inaugurate Muslim media watch in Osun

 

The Sultan of Sokoto and President-General, Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, will on Saturday, March 17, 2018, inaugurate the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria.

The ceremony will have JAMB Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, as the Guest of Honour.

A statement issued by the National coordinator, Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria, Ibrahim Abdullah, stated that the ceremony “will take place in the Banquet Hall of Osun state Government House, Osogbo.

According to the statement, Governor Rauf Aregbesola would be the special guest of honour, while Sultan of Sokoto, who is the grand patron of the association, will also serve as the chief guest of honour at the ceremony.

Members of the BoT are: Malam Yusuf Ali (SAN), chairman, while Malam Muhammad Haruna; Barrister Abdraheem Adebayo Shittu; Prof. Abdganiyu Ambali; Professor Obini Ekpe and Prof. Saadiya Omar Bello.

“The ceremony will be presided over by the chairman, Oyo state Muslim Community and former National President, NACOMYO, Alhaji Kunle Sanni, as the chairman.”

The statement added that a paper on the “Effective Use of Mass Media for Da’awah” would be presented by an editor-in-chief and a member, editorial board of the defunct Concord Newspapers, Alhaji Liad Tella.
