Sulu-Gambari mourns Gombe emir, Kutigi’s wife

Emir of Ilorin and chairman, Kwara state traditional council, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has commiserated with the Gombe emirate council over the demise of the Emir of Gombe, Alhaji Shehu Abubakar Usman, describing the incident as “shocking.”
Sulu-Gambari in his condolence message issued in Ilorin said the late monarch, without doubt, had during his reign as the chairman of Gombe traditional council used his influence and wealth of experiences to further enhance the peaceful co-existence and well-being of the people.
He also described the late traditional ruler “as a true friend, brother and colleague whose love and interest for the unity of Nigeria despite her heterogeneous composition cannot be under-estimated.”

Sulu-Gambari said the late emir’s 30 years on the throne was highly remarkable.
Commiserating with the immediate family of the late emir, Sulu-Gambari condoled with the Gombe emirate council as well as the government and people of Gombe state and prayed Almighty Allah to grant his soul paradise.
Similarly, the emir also condoled with the chairman of the national conference, Justice Idris Legbo Kutigi (rtd), over the death of his wife, Hajiya Mariam Kutigi, who died at the age of 70.
The monarch, who is also a delegate to the conference, urged the ex-CJN to take solace in the fact that his late wife lived a fulfilled life owing to the numerous achievements that had come the way of the Kutigi’s family.
