Super Eagles retain 52nd position in FIFA ranking

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have retained their 52nd position in the latest FIFA Rankings released by World football governing body FIFA yesterday for the month of February.
Nigeria didn’t move from their last month position, and are still 7th in the African continent same position they occupied last month, with Tunisia still the highest ranked African nation as they occupy the 23rd position.
Senegal are second behind Tunisia, with Congo DR, Morocco, Egypt and Cameroun all ahead of 7th placed Nigeria, who are ahead of Ghana, Burkina Faso and Algeria in the top ten ranked nations in Africa.
Globally, Germany are still the number one ranked football nation in the world, with Brazil, Portugal, Argentina and Belgium ranked second, third, fourth and fifth respectively.
Super Eagles opponents at the World Cup, Argentina (4), Croatia ( 15) and Iceland (18) are all ranked higher, but Nigeria will be hoping to bridge the gap with their upcoming games against Poland and Serbia.
