Super Obasi says he can do more at World Cup Finals

ObasiNigerian international, Chinedu Obasi, shone for Schalke against Hertha Berlin and he said he could do even more at the World Cup Finals in June.
Obasi was outastanding as he scored a goal and provided the assist for Schalke to beat Hertha Berlin 2 – 0 in the German Bundesliga at the weekend.
Schalke are third on the table with 54 points from 28 matches, a point behind second-placed Borussia Dortmund.
The exciting forward featured at the 2010 World Cup Finals in South Africa, but a series of long-term injuries have meant he has not played for Nigeria since coach Stephen Keshi took charge of the Super Eagles about three years ago.

“As far as I am concerned, I want to keep playing well for my club, so as to be in World Cup squad. A lot will depend on the coach. I want to play for my country because I believe I could still do much more as I have a lot to give.
“I feel very happy and proud because I am finally getting to my best. I am not going to give up nor feel relax because of this little performance because I am very much confident that I am yet to be at my best.

“It was an exciting feeling seeing myself getting better, I am really happy that things are working well for me now. I can’t just stop at this level, I believe I still have a lot more to give the team week in, week out.”
