Support PRO-BONO to render humanitarian service, Lawyer urges Nigerians  

The immediate past vice chairman of Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Gwagwalada branch, Barrister David Aigbefoh, has called on Nigerians to assist and give support to HANDLE PRO-BONO LINK and EMPOWERMENT FOUNDATION (HPLEF) to enable it render good humanitarian services to the people.

Aigbefoh made the call when the organisation decorated him as grand patron at its 4th year anniversary Thursday in Abuja.

While speaking after his decoration, Aigbefoh said MANDEL PRO-BONO is dear to his heart because of the services they render to people. He further stated that they don’t only provide legal services but empowerment for indigenes. Consequently, he implored them to go out and make the society a better place.

Barrister Aigbefoh who is also the director of Programmes, ALDRAP National Assembly, said PRO-BONO renders services by professionals for free or at a lower cost.

“Professionals in many fields offer PRO-BONO services to nonprofit organisations. It is also possible to do PRO-BONO work for individual clients who cannot afford to pay,” he stated.

In her welcome remarks, the chairperson, HPLEF, Mrs. Oboh Charity, said their desire was to herald the existence of the organisation to the public.
