Suspected herdsmen kill 15-year-old boy in Kogi

Three suspected herdsmen on Saturday, ambushed and killed a 15 year old boy, Mahmudu Audu, in Guchidan village of Kupa district of Lokoja local government area of kogi state.
Blueprint reliably gathered from Hon. Abubakar Mahmud an indigene of the area that the herdsmen, numbering three, reportedly butchered and mutilated the young boy to death.
According to the source, the boy with his elder brother, Mallam Abubakar Audu, went to their father’s farm with a motor bike to set “traps” for rats and grass cutters but were ambushed by the Fulani herdsmen whose father lived in the community for years. Mahmud narrated that during the attack, the elderly brother to the deceased narrowly escaped death but luck ran out of the younger brother who fell in the hands of the Fulani herdsman and was killed and the corpse mutilated.
“His brother reported the case to the community and when they got to the farm they had already killed him and set their motorcycle on fire and escaped from the scene,” Mahmud added.
After the incident, according to Mahmud, the community stormed the farm and arrested one of the suspects, Buba Ardo, while the two other suspects escaped.
The arrested suspect told the people that it was his father who asked them to kill the boy. He also confessed at the Police station that they killed the boy for preventing their cows from grazing in their farm land of the poor boy
