SWAN honours NFF president

The national body of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has called on the president of the Nigeria Football Association (NFF) Alhaji Aminu Maigari not to be distracted with the critics that don’t want the success of the board towards development of the game of football in the country.

This statement was made by the President of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Sa’idu Abubakar, while decorating Maigari with a golden award in respect of the successes he has brought to the country since his election.

Sa’idu Abubakar  since the election of the NFF president he has work tirelessly to win laurels for the country, saying that he has done a lot to the country despite the several critics aimed at causing distraction from the people that are praying evil for the country.

“He has achieved a lot in many aspect especially his effort in piloting the affairs of the board to win the U-17 World Cup, Nations Cup, Mandela Cup and qualifying our National Teams to the World Cup Finals as well as he has brought respect to our indigenous coaches in Nigeria by giving them all privileges given to foreign ones”.

Responding, the NFF president expressed happiness with the award and explained that SWAN has been part and parcel of all successes recorded under his leadership because they have been giving him all the necessary strategic planning and suggestion that led to such success.

He said the success he recorded is not his handy work alone but the entire board members that contributed in one way or the other towards the successes recorded in the national teams and urged Nigerians to continue praying for them to record more success.
