Tackle raging insecurity, banditry, FG told

As Nigerians suffer spate of kidnapping and armed banditry especially in the North, the federal government has been urged to put measures in place to tackle the insecurity bedeviling the nation, and to ensure security of life and property.
Coordinator of Kaduna Youth for good Governance (KYGG)|, Comrade Aliyu Modibbo, made the appeal in a statement he issued to Newsmen in Kaduna on Wednesday. He expressed worry on the current security situation in the Northern part of the country, while calling for concerted effort to arrest the ugly situation before it gets out of hands.

The KYCG Coordinator stressed the importance of community policing and urged people to be security conscious for safety of their lives and properties at all time.
Modibbo said, “we are tired of this insecurity issues whereby, everyday people are being killed, properties being destroyed on daily bases, lives of Nigerians are no longer safe, especially people from the Northern part of the country where security is not guaranteed, life is not comfortable any more.

“Government must take action now towards tackling the ugly insecurity situation and the spate of banditry and kidnapping going on in almost every part of the country, especially in the Northern part of the country.”

Comrade Modibbo called on the federal government to resuscitate and revive all ailing industries that have collapsed, so that a lot of Nigerian teeming youth can get employed and be removed from the streets where they do nothing and are prone to crime.

Commenting on those calling for the restructuring of Nigeria, the Coordinator of KYGG appealed that nothing should affect the corporate existence of the country.
