TADI denounces ACIF allegations

The attention of Transparency Advocacy for Development Initiative (TADI) has been drawn to an online publication by one Anti-Corruption and Integrity Forum (ACIF) that gave the EFCC & ICPC seven days’ ultimatum to make public their findings on the petition submitted by TADI against the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

The director of Compliance, TADI Ibrahim Muhammad Auwal, Esq stated this in a chat with pressmen in an interview, Monday, in Abuja.

“We wish to state the following facts for the records: that we completely denounce and dissociate our organisation from the antics and grandstanding of the so-called Anti-Corruption and Integrity Forum (ACIF) because it has no permission to use the name of TADI for its nefarious agenda.

“TADI being a responsible organisation seeks to promote justice, fairness and accountability in public offices. After learning the facts of the matter and furnished with information and superior evidence regarding the stewardship of Professor Is-haq Oloyede, TADI did the right thing by withdrawing all the petitions it sent to the relevant anti-corruption agencies against the JAMB Registrar on 6th October, 2022. The hallmark of integrity is knowing when you are wrong and owning up to it and that is the reason why TADI opted to do the honourable thing because the information supplied to us by one Integrity & Transparency Watchdog about Professor Oloyede are unverified and could not be substantiated.

“Our findings have shown that the Anti-Corruption and Integrity Forum (ACIF) are uninformed because the petition they relied upon to address the press has since been withdrawn. So their action, by calling for the release of a status report on findings from the EFCC & ICPC are in many ways misleading and unfortunately malicious because the foundation they stand on is terribly flawed.

“We in TADI, have since moved on to other important national issues and our major focus is the 2023 election. We wish to state that those who are opposed to the ongoing progressive reforms in JAMB have seen an opportunity to twist facts and continue to distract Professor Oloyede from achieving his noble objective of leaving behind a lasting legacy for generations yet unborn,” he stated.
