Former Super Eagles and Zamalek of Egypt striker, Emmanuel Amuneke has urged Lille of France star, Victor Osimhen not to be in a haste to join another club during this January transfer window.
Osimhen is on the radar of many top European clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United and Tottenham but Amuneke who tutored him in Nigeria’ Under 17 and 20 teams cautioned him not to rush.
Instead Amuneke who has coached in Sudan and Tanzania while speaking on a radio program monitored yesterday advised Osimhen to remain calm and focused.
“My advice to Osimhen is that he should remain focused. He is a player that is very crazy about football and you will always see that in his character when training because he doesn’t like to lose, but he just needs to remain focused and at the right time, the right club where his football will flourish and grow will show up.
“Movement of a player is not really what matters, it’s a good thing that the big clubs are after him but he should just be calm and at the right time, the move will come,” Amuneke advised.
The 20-year-old has been in top form for Lille this season, scoring 15 goals in all competitions whilst also chipping in 4 assists to help Lille remain in contention for both the French Cup and a place in next season’s Champions League.
