Tambuwal commends military on professionalism

Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal f Sokoto state has commended the nation’s military for exhibiting a high sense of patriotism in carrying out various assignments within and outside the country.
He gave the commendation yesterday in Sokoto when he hosted participants of Senior Officers Course 40 of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji, led by Team Leader Brig.-Gen. O. R. Aiyenigba, who were on a study tour of the state.
Speaking at a ceremony to welcome the participants at the Government House, Tambuwal acknowledged the contributions of nation’s security agencies in efforts to promote peace and security in the country.
He informed the team that the state government had cordial working relationships with the security agencies in the state, urging them to be more proactive in sustaining peace and security in the country.
He said as they embarked on the study tour, they would encounter various people-oriented programmes executed by his administration for the benefit of the people.
Responding, Aiyenigba said they were in the state for their study tour with the theme: National Security and Youth Empowerment.
He said they visited some projects executed by the present administration and some historical sites in the state.
He hailed the governor for executing projects that had direct bearing on the lives of the people and urged him to continue with the good work to the people of the state.
