Tambuwal, Wike Bello, Bindow for recognition in Abuja today

Federal Civil Service Staff Cooperative Union (FEDCOOP) has concluded arrangements to honour the governors of Sokoto, Niger, Adamawa and Rivers states today.
A statement issued yesterday in Abuja by the President of the Cooperative Union, Barrister Onjefu Obe, indicated that “the rationale behind the nominations of the awardees was as a result of their valuable contributions to nation-building and development.”
It stated that the conference with the theme: “Cooperative Societies as Veritable Tool for Wealth Creation and Economic Development,” which is the second conference since the inception of the union, “will also honour Senators Ademola Adeleke, Phillip Aduda and Kabiru Gaya.”
The statement added that the Managing Directors of the Federal Housing Authority (FHA), Assets Management Company of Nigeria (AMCON), Nigeria Deposit Insurance Company (NDIC), Bank of Industry (BoI) and the Director- General of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) would also receive awards.
“Others include a former Director of Military Intelligence (DMI) during the administration of the Late General Sani Abacha, Gen. Ibrahim Sabo (retd.), Director of the FCT Directorate of Road Traffic Services (DRTS), Comptroller- General of Immigration, and the Chief Executive Officer of the Human Rights Radio, amongst others.
According to the statement, the event is expected to attract no fewer than 600 members of the cooperative union from across the country.
