Taraba NULGE gets president

The National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Taraba state chapter has inaugurated a new president in acting capacity, following the resignation of the former president, Naptari Kefas for partisan politics.
The former president has joined the Peoples Democratic Party to contest for Wukari/ Ibi federal constituency at the National Assembly.
Briefing journalists in Jalingo, state secretariat of the union, the new acting president, Prince Musa Mamud Bali, said his inauguration was based on the constitution and laws of the union.
According to Musa, in spite of the departure of the president to participate in politics, “the leadership of the union is still focused and committed to workers’ warfare.” The new president also called on local government workers in the state to remain steadfast and committed to the leadership of the union both at the state and at national levels for protection and betterment of their warfare.
Naptari Kefas, the out gone NULGE president was serving his second tenure in office but cut the term short and purchased the intention and nomination forms of the PDP to contest for House of Representatives seat.
