Taraba: Police confirms kidnap of 4 Igbo businessmen in Jalingo


The Taraba state police command, Sunday confirmed the kidnapped of four Igbo businessmen on Saturday night at Magami area of Jalingo.
The command Public Relations Officer, DSP David Misal, who confirmed the abduction of the Igbo men to Blueprintthrough a telephone interview said the command would not rest until they released.


He said the command has mobilised its men to go in search the victims.
“Although, we don’t disclosed our strategies, we are already searching to ensure that they are released safely,” he said.


According to him, “Kidnapping is a national issue that need all hands to work together to address it.
He maintained that the command would live no stone unturned to ensure that the perpetrators are arrested and brought to justice.


Narrating the incident, wife to one of the victims, Chibugo Nweze, said her husband was sleeping when the abductors arrived in their house.


She said the kidnappers shot sporadically into the air to scare neighbours, broke their door and left the house with her husband.
He informed that there has been no contact with the kidnappers to know their demand or whereabouts.
