TB Joshua’s death devastated me – Chika Okpala

Chief Chika Okpala, aka Chief Zebrudaya of the Soap Opera fame, New Masquerade, has said the death of the Lagos based televangelist, Temitope Balogun Joshua of the Synagogue of All Nations ministry, devastated him.

Okpara, who said he was with TB Joshua on the Mountain for prayers three weeks before he passed on pointed out that he never knew that TB was going to die.

Speaking to journalists in his studio in Enugu, Okpara said the news of Joshua’s death left him shattered, adding that he could not believe his ears until his death was confirmed by his family members.

“TB Joshua’s death was very shocking to me. This was a man that raised others from dead. I was with him three weeks ago on the mountain. I knew that he was not all that boisterous but when you have a compressed audience, I didn’t take that as a sign of sickness.

“His death was shocking to me. He was a philanthropist. What happens to his ministry?,” he asked.

Devastated Okpara went on, “I was actually put aback. I was devastated. My wife was saying, who do we run to in case of emergency. It was a worrisome night for me when I received the news of his death. I began to wonder what must have happened to him. Was he shot?

“I refused to send a message of condolence to the family until I saw a message from the family, that was when I knew that it was true that TB was dead,” he said.
