Tears, testimonies as Akeredolu, Sanwo-Olu, others attend Prophet T.B Joshua’s final burial

Ondo state Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, and his Lagos counterpart Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Friday attended the final burial of the founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations Prophet T.B Joshua held in Lagos state.

Sanwo-Olu was represented by his Commissioner for Home Affairs, Hon, Anofi Olanrewaju Elegushi.

Also present is the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, who was also represented by his wife Olori Naomi Adeyeye-Ogunwusi.

Sanwoolu in his speech said Joshua lived with the common man and played the role of a father to many orphans.

He said his legacy must be perpetuated.

The Lagos governor urged others to emulate the late Prophet’s style.

Governor Akeredolu, in his speech, said the late televangelist was a “worthy citizen of Ondo”.

He said his passing was a great loss not only to Ondo or his town but a “loss to humanity.”

He said Joshua was a humble man from a humble beginning.

The governor said his impact is worldwide saying it explained why a “world congregation” had come to witness his burial.

The governor while giving testimony said Joshua within hours of his victory in Ondo state, drove down to Owo just to wish him well.

“Pastor TB Joshua when I won election within hours drove to Owo my hometown, and something went wrong with his vehicles in Akure.

“He said to me he had come to wish me well,” he said.

The governor said Joshua touched more lives than anyone could imagine saying that he had been a gifted person from childhood more reason his burial attracted nations.
