Teenager kills 2 pupils in Borno

A teenager, suspected to be of unsound mind, has killed two pupils of Jafi Primary School, Kwaya Kusar town in Borno state.
Police statement said the lunatic, bust into the school premises with cutlass made his way to the classroom, where he dealt several cuts on the pupils.
The statement signed by PPRO Borno state command, DSP Victor Isuku, read: “Today, Thursday 30/11/17 at about 0930 hrs, one Gaji Adamu ‘male’ of lube village of Kwaya Kusar LGA, suspected to be of unsound mind, armed with machete entered into Jafi Primary School, Kwaya Kusar town and killed two male pupils.
“While a teacher and a female pupil were wounded in the attack, irate youths mobbed the intruder, who is now unconscious and admitted in hospital under protective custody.
“The corpses and injured have been evacuated to Gombe general hospital.
Meanwhile, the state Commissioner of Police, Damian A. Chukwu, has directed the DPO of Kwaya Kusar division to transfer the suspect to the state Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (CIID) for a discreet investigation as well as to determine the mental state of the suspect.
