Terrorism: Yoruba youths hail FCT judge for voiding trumped-up charges against Emefiele

Yoruba youths, under the aegis of the Oduduwa Youth Forum, has commended Justice M.A. Hassan of an Abuja High Court over the Thursday judgment that barred the Department of State Services from inviting, arresting, detaining or charging the CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, with any allegation of terrorism or fraudulent act.

The Yoruba youths’ commendation was contained in a statement issued by their President, Ade Balogun in Abuja.

The statement read, “At a time when most Nigerians are afraid to do the right things because of the fear of unpleasant consequences, Justice Hassan displayed uncommon courage and delivered that landmark judgment.

“At a time when many will not speak the truth out of fear of its repercussion, Justice Hassan damned the consequence and called the bluff of the DSS.

“As youths, we have seen in this courageous judge a role model that we need.

“We therefore commend the judge’s courage and enjoin other judges to emulate this.”
