The economy is too harsh

Our government should do something concerning the present condition of the economy and the excruciating suff ering that Nigerians are subjected to on a daily basis. Th e eff ects of this recession upon us are unbearable, calamitous and a disaster to everyone.

It is a very critical moment for Nigerians now; everybody was living under intense hardship before, now that the prices of commodities and other materials of livelihood have sky-rocketed beyond human imagination, how do they expect us to survive? If things continue like this, how do they expect the masses to survive? I want to ask these questions: Where are we heading to in this country?

What are the plans of our leaders for us? It is high time the government came out with immediate solutions to our ailing economy, and steered the ship of the country away from recession. Th ings would start to go from bad to worse if this issue is not resolved as it ought to be. Th e government has to fi nd its way around it. Th e economy is too harsh for everyone right now. Everybody is complaining; there is hunger in the land, coupled with the fact that there is no money. Th e poor are getting poorer each day, with little or no hope for survival with nobody knowing what tomorrow holds. Our leaders should be committed, hardworking, disciplined, and transparent in their duties to this great country and in their various dispensations.
