Thinkright Foundation sues for better society

Thinkright Foundation, a Lagos-based non-governmental organisation, has called for attitudinal change that will boost personal, organizational and national development.

Speaking at the launch recently, the chairman of the Board of Trustees of the foundation, Mr. Daniel Ukwu said the mission of the foundation is to enhance development through strategic capacity-building. Ukwu added that the foundation has the vision of becoming one of the most effective foundations in the world in terms of human empowerment.

He stressed that the objective of the foundation is to help build a better Nigeria through encouragement of a culture of reading that will ensure acquisition of required knowledge for overall development. Ukwu said the foundation has assembled a list of empowerment programmes that will engage the youth productively.

In the keynote address tagged “Achieving Greatness through Right-thinking”, Mr. Goke Ilesanmi, a renowned motivational speaker, columnist and Managing Consultant, Gokmar Communication Consulting stressed the need for individuals, organizations and nations to think right to be able to achieve tremendously.

Ilesanmi who is also the Secretary of the foundation said some of attributes of right-thinkers are recognition of God as a source of good things; possession of a goal not a mere dream; possession of vision and thirst for excellence. He added that other attributes of right-thinkers are positive thinking; radiation of emotional intelligence; avoidance of social vices and effective management of resources and time.

Advising the Foundation, Osun State Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, who was ably represented by his son, Kabiru, advised members to develop a community of preachers who will preach the gospel of right-thinking and attitudinal change across the length and breadth of Nigeria and even beyond.
