Tinubu donates N50m to flood victims in Jigawa

The All Progress Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has dolled out N50 million to those affected by the flood in Jigawa state.

During his sympathy visit in the state on Tuesday, Tinubu announced the donation of N50 million as cushion the effect of the flood on the victims.

The APC’s presidential candidate stressed that he was in the state to commiserate with the government, people as well as the victims who lost their houses and belongings.

Tinubu at the government house Dutse, said “the flood disaster is an act of God Almighty. This token is just a relief to the victims not to compensate them”.

According to him, as brothers and sisters of one nation, he found it necessary to come personally to commiserate with them and show his concern to the victims.

“I admonish you all to submit everything to God Almighty. And I pray for God Almighty to intervene and prevent future occurrence of anything like this”, Tinubu added.

Governor Mohammed Badaru Abubakar thanked the presidential candidate for the visit and magnanimous donation to the victims.
