The Tor Tiv Orcivirigh Professor James Ortese Ayatse, Tuesday, expressed appreciation and gratitude to President Bola Tinubu, for finding his son, Senator George Akume, worthy of the noble appointment as Secretary to Government Federation (SGF).
The royal father described the development as reconnecting Benue state and Tiv nation in particular to the mainstream politics in Nigeria.
He also facilitated with Senator Akume on the recent appointment, saying the appointment did not come by accident but due to his records of unwavering commitment to duty and track record of achievements as a former governor of Benue state, Senate Minority Leader, and immediate past Minister for Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs among other endeavours.
In a goodwill message to the former governor, the Tor Tiv who is the chairman Benue State Council of Traditional Rulers, pledged the unflinching loyalty, support, cooperation and prayed to God to continue to bless, protect and guide the new SGF on the right path to discharge the duties of his office faithfully and help move Nigeria to greater heights.
The Tiv said he was happy by the gesture and wish President Tinubu a blissful administration. He also urged him to give more appointments to other deserving Tiv sons.
