Niger Tornadoes FC of Minna are battle ready to get its three maximum points against Sokoto United FC of Sokoto when they clash at the week 9 of the Nigeria National League Group A in Minna tomorrow.
Media officer of Tornadoes FC, George Daniya, said that chief coach Godwin Uwua-led boys are training hard and would not take their visitors for granted when they square it out at the late Bako Kontagora Memorial Stadium, Minna, by 4:00 pm.
Daniya said that the players have vowed to make amends in the 2 – 0 defeat they suffered at Ilorin to Kwara United in week 8 match.
He said that Tornadoes chances of making it to Premier League next season was bright as the team was only three points short behind league leader Wiki Tourist of Bauchi that has 15 points while Tornadoes has 12 points and placed 8th on the log.
On the other hand, Sokoto United are placed 12 with 9 points and may try to prove a point in Minna, but the Minna-based warlord’s have vowed to deepen Sokoto United league woes.
Next weekend, Tornadoes will be guest to Kogi United in Lokoja, while Sokoto United host Wiki Tourists of Bauchi.
