Trace Adkins’ wife files for divorce

The wife of country singer Trace Adkins has filed for divorce, ABC News has confirmed.
Rhonda Adkins, the singer’s wife of 16 years, filed in Tennessee earlier this week. According to the documents from the Williamson County, Tenn., court, she cited “irreconcilable differences.”
Trace, 52, and Rhonda Adkins have three daughters – MacKenzie, Brianna, and Trinity. The singer also has two other daughters with an ex-wife.

Rhonda is asking for custody of the three girls and for the singer to pay child support.
Adkins checked into rehab in January for alcohol abuse after an alleged brawl with an impersonator on the Norwegian Pearl. He finished treatment in February to be with his father, Aaron, who recently died at 71.
Adkins had been sober for the past 12 years after completing a previous stint in rehab in 2002.
