Keying into the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) drive in ensuring financial inclusion through the cashless policy, Bizi Mobile Cashless Agency said it has trained no fewer than 12,000 youths on cashless banking.
Chief Executive Officer of Bizi Mobile Cashless Agency, Alhaji Aminu Bizi disclosed this while fielding questions from newsmen on the sidelines of a two-day CBN fair in Kaduna.
He said: “We have trained more than 12,000 agents and each has not less than two staff working under them.
He added that as a dedicated consultant, CBN invites him everywhere it goes to promote cashless banking.” Responding to a question on why the Kaduna State Commissioner of Women Affairs hinted on a partnership with his agency, he said he was not surprised.
“I am not surprised, because I appreciate the effort of his Excellency in ensuring the state is digitized.
We had cooperation with the ministry of women affairs, very soon, a programme is coming up,” he said.
On their plans to further promote cashless banking, he said that their target is the rural areas adding that: “We are focusing on the grassroots because in the cities there are banks, but in rural areas no banks,” he added.
