The National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Ibadan Saturday upheld the election of the member House of Representatives of the All Progressives Congress (APC), representing Ibadan-North federal constituency, Hon. Olaide Musliudeen Akinremi.
Vice Chairman of the Tribunal, Justice Sambo Daka while reading the judgement said the petitioner, Hon Ademola Omotosho of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) failed to convince the Tribunal of the irregularities he alleged in his petition.
Dismissing Hon Omotosho petition, the tribunal upheld the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the last general election declaring Akinremi as the winer of the election
Justice Sambo Daka was flanked by the Chairman of the Tribunal , Justice Anthony Akpovi and Chinyere Ani while reading the judgement.
