Troops kill 5 bandits, rescue 12-year-old boy in Kaduna

Troops of 1Division Nigerian Army have neutralised five bandits and recused a 12-year-old boy during night operations at Gindin Dutse Village and Rijana Forest of Birnin Gwari and Kachia Local Government Areas of Kaduna State.

The boy, Rabe Abubakar, was kidnapped was kidnapped on 21st October 2019 by  bandits at Ruwan Sanyi Village close to Liberia Forest in Kubau Local Goverment Area.

Some items recovered during the operations, according to Coordinator Nigerian Army Operations, Col. Aminu Iliyasu, include three locally-made guns and one motorcycle.

He said three bandits were believed to have escaped with gunshot wounds.
Also in Kaduna state, Iliyasu said troops also arrested two suspected killers of one Alhaji Tanko of Janda Village in Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

“Toops of 342 Artillery Regiment. The troops, while acting on credible intelligence raided a suspected kidnappers’ den at Ihie Community in Ohaji/Egbema LGA of Imo State. Two suspects, Umah Kingsley and Miss Chukwu Happiness were arrested. Items recovered during the operation include 2 empty magazines and a locally fabricated gun,” he said.
