Briefi ng journalists yesterday in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa state capital, Commander of OPDS, Rear Admiral Apochi Suleiman, said troops recovered 10 cheque booklets of diff erent banks, an international passport, 5 diff erent Identity cards and a sum of 1,000,100.00, from the kingpin. Suleiman said the troops also arrested one Mathew Okafor, 50, suspecting to dealing in buying and selling of an International oil company wellhead popularly known as “Xmas Tree” and other wellhead accessories. He said both suspects were undergoing preliminary investigation in the custody of the OPDS. Suleiman commended the public for their support to troops in their eff ort to achieve OPDS mandate. He appealed to the public to always provide timely information to troops in order to get rid of criminals from the region.
