A commercial motorcyclist popularly called Okada, and his female passenger were Tuesday crushed to death around Officon on New Otukpo Road, Makurdi, the Benue state capital.
The accident took place around 8: 40 am, Tuesday.
It was further gathered that the tanker driver, who was over speeding lost control and ran over the motorcyclist who was conveying the passenger to Wurukum.
Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Aliyu Baba who confirmed the incident said the two accident victims were crushed beyond recognition.
The Benue FRSC boss, said while the identity of the commercial motor cyclist is unknown, the female victim was identified through her ATM card.
“We went to the scene of the accident and learnt that the truck that caused the accident drove straight to the Police station,” he stated.
