It’s our turn to produce next Reps- Koton-Karfe tells APC

Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Kogi local government areas, Koton-Karfe chapter has charged leaders of the party in Lokoja local government to narrow the APC House of Representatives nomination to the zone.
In a communique issued at the end of the APC stakeholders’ meeting held at Koton-Karfe, the headquarters of Kogi local government area, the stakeholders unanimously resolved to produced a credible consensus candidate to contest the bye-election meant to fill the vacuum created by the demise the Deputy Majority Leader, Rt. Hon Umar Buba Jibril. Signed by the Council chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Yusuf Omoko, the stakeholders said: “That both Lokoja and Kogi local government areas are one and share common goal, aspirations and virtues.
That Kogi local government having had two successive terms in the House of Representatives, relinquish the seat voluntarily through our popular decision and vote at both primary and general elections to Lokoja people”. The APC stakeholders said the gesture would foster mutual respect and understanding, stressing that it would equally strengthen the party in the area. “We have resolved to confront and prosecute intensive negotiations, struggle and campaign for the forthcoming House of Representatives bielection for Lokoja and Kogi (Koton-Karfe) federal constituency as people. “We also resolved on certain strategies for the purpose of actualizing the sustenance of a rotational House of Representatives position between Lokoja and Koto, and one of such strategies is dialogue with APC stakeholders in Lokoja”, the communique said.
They admonished all APC members and supporters in Kogi local government to prosecute the agitation peacefully and constructively, noting that they are optimistic to reach amicable resolution devoid of rancour. Some of the APC stakeholders present at the meeting are Alhaji Abdullahi Yusuf Omoko, the Commissioner for Transport, Hon. Muhammed Awwal Imam, Alhaji Zakari Oseu Muhammed, Alhaji Abdullahi Yahaya, members of GYB grassroots connect, among others.
