TV series on Nigeria Police debuts today

In furtherance of Inspector General of Police (IGP), Solomon Arase’s policing vision, a television series ‘Beyond Your Sight,’ woven around bridging the gap between the police and the citizens will today premiere in Abuja.

Addressing journalists on the premiere, the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), Olabisi Kolawole, said the series: “Documents, serialises and disseminates landmark operational, intelligence, investigative and prosecutorial exploits of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
According to her, the series which was inspired by the achievements of the IGP Intelligence Unit initiated by the IGP Arase on assumption of office to prevent and unravel crimes.

She said 13 episodes of the Police TV series which makes up the quarterly production have already been produced and would commence on different television stations across the country after the premiere.
Olabisi explained that the message of the series is that though the NPF has had its fair share of challenges, the Force under the leadership of IGP Arase has laid pathways that is engendering the evolution of a new Police Force that will not only take pride in itself but sing its own song.

The series, she further stated: “Are produced and directed by multiple award winning movie producer, Lancelot Imasuen and featured prominent actors like Desmond Elliot and Segun Ainze among others.
“It is the expectation of the Force leadership that in the long-term, the TV series will aid the rebranding security of citizens and galvanise citizens to their obligation within the national security space of our beloved country. ”
