Two in Police net for robbery

Two persons, Saidi Ibrahim, 29, and Rilwan Titiloye, 24, suspected to be members of a robber gang which specialized in stealing motorcycles and rams, are cooling their heels in the custody of the Police in Oyo state.
The suspects were said to have been arrested on March 6, 2015, by vigilante group members at Ile Titun area of Ologuneru community, Ibadan.

The group which was said to have got information about the suspicious activity of the gang in the early hours of the day leading to their arrest, subsequently handed the suspects over to the Eleyele Police Division, Olawole Ayoola, a Deputy Superintendent of Police.
The security guards reportedly laid an ambush which the three men ran into, leading to the arrest of two of the three man gang, as well as the recovery of a red Bajaj motorcycle with registration number LAR 426 WH and a bag containing a big iron cutter, chisel, a dagger and other dangerous weapons.

One Salawu Ahmed and Akinremi Gabriel Seun, respectively are said to have since identified and claimed the motorcycles theirs respectively.
Oyo state Police spokepserson, Adekunle Ajisebutu, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), confirmed the incident and said that the suspects had been transferred to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) for further investigation.
