Two women nabbed for ‘stealing two kids from one parent’



A-28-year old woman, Chisom Ani, is in the police net for allegedly stealing two children, Miss Confidence Ejike, 5, and Miss Blessing Ejike, seven-month-old, from Enugwu-Aguleri, Anambra East LGA of Anambra state.

Ani, who hails from Amuli in Nkanu East LGA of Enugu state allegedly perpetrated the act with one Ms Afamefune Udodili, aged 32 of Orodo in Mbaitolu LGA of Imo state.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Anambra state police command, Mr Haruna Muhammed, the suspects were arrested on November 22 at  Nkpor in Idemili North LGA of the State following police intelligence report.


“Following the Public announcement by the Command on the November 22, parents of the two kids from Enugu Aguleri came and identified their children.They also revealed their names as Confidence Ejike ‘f’ aged 5 years and Blessing Ejike ‘f’ aged 7 months old respectively. 
“The children have since reunited with their parents and case is under investigation after which suspects would be charged to Court prosecution. The Commissioner of Police CP John B.Abang, urges parents  and guardians to monitor  their children and caution them against following strangers,” he said.
