U-17 World Cup: Manu drills players ahead of Hungry opener

Golden Eaglet Coach, Manu Garba took his team to the classroom as they bid to clinch a record 6th crown at FIFA U-17 World Cup which begins in Brazil on Saturday

The Nigerians will be meeting their Hungary counterparts on Saturday and coach Garba who has won the tournament twice does not want to take chances.

The 2013 World Cup winner, who is very much determined to see Nigeria excel in Brazil, gave the players a dose of what to expect in the competition following their 1-0 loss to Japan in their final preparatory game for the World Cup.

The move is meant to correct the lapses noticed in the defeat to the Asian side with the technical and tactical lectures meant to give the boys a picture of what to expect at the 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup in Brazil.

The Eaglets lost their first warm up game against Sao Paulo U-17s team before thrashing South Korea 4-2 in their second game.

They were however undone by a Wakatsuki Yamato strike as they lost their final game to Japan 1-0.

Having failed to qualify for the last edition, the Eaglets will begin their quest to overthrow current holders England against Hungary before also facing Ecuador and Austria in Group B of the competition.
