UEFA/CAF Tourney: G/Eaglets coach to ring changes against Guatemala

Golden Eaglets Coach, Manu Garba has disclosed he will line up new set of players in their second game against Guatemala Tuesday  as he steps up the build-up for the U-17 World Cup in Brazil next month.

Golden Eaglets last Sunday got off to a flying start in the UEFA/CAF tournament in Istanbul when they beat hosts Turkey 2-0.

“Against Guatemala, we will give other players a chance to show what they can do,” Manu said.

“We’re here to give a chance to every player, so we can pick the players for the World Cup.

“The most important thing is to expose these boys.

“We have other players back home who are good enough to represent the country, so it depends on individual performances.”

Manu faulted the performances of some key players even in the win over Turkey.

“We won 2-0, but we noticed some individual players did not click and this affected the general play,” he said.

The bulk of the squad in Turkey qualified the country to the U-17 World Cup, which kicks off October 26 in Brazil.
