The South-east Governors’ Forum has appealed with the President-General of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Chief Nnaia Nwodo and members of the Imeobi to shift their meeting holding on Thursday, 24th January, 2019 from 11am to 6pm same day.
This is to enable members of the group (Imeobi) who also are members of the of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to attend their presidential rally same day at Enugu and Anambra States respectively.
This was disclosed in a press release signed by Engr David Umahi ,the Chairman South-east governor’s forum and issued to journalists in Abakaliki on Wednesday.
Umahi further stated that the adjustment of the programme would be a mark of respect to President Muhammadu Buhari.
He said :”Moreover, this will also be a mark of respect of Ndigbo for Mr. President who is the President of Nigeria irrespective of political party affiliation.
“The Forum further disclosed that this announcement has no political undertone and warns political mischief makers to stay away from South East and face their various zones.
“This gesture will also be extended to Presidential candidates of other political parties as the need arises”.
