Ebonyi: Umahi retains excos at valedictory session

Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state on Tuesday told his executive council members to return to their offices and continue their normal duties.

According to Umahi, “exco has not been dissolved, all we had was a valedictory section. So return to your office and carryout your normal duties”.

The Governor said this on Tuesday at the Exco chambers government house Abakaliki, after the valedictory sections.

While addressing his executive members, he called on Nigerian leaders to inculcate the attitude of hard work, contentment, and good character as that is the only way to move the country forward.

” I want to thank Chief Elechi I will never forget him, he is the destiny helper that God used to put me where I am without him, I wouldn’t have been where I am today.  So for your information, we are talking now and we are happy for ourselves.” He said

He commended his council members for their sacrifices, tolerance, and spirit of forgiveness.

He said: “I want you to know that the making of the next administration is not in my hand is in the hand of God but whosoever God appoints, we must definitely continue to stay the ship until we anchor this ship in 2023.

“I have no enemy I have no friend my friendship is the work because I love hard work even if you are my enemy we can work together if you are hardworking.

” So I,  want to commend you all very highly, you have sacrifice so much, you have work very severely and hard condition just to change our narrative. ” He said.
