Ummi Fadila prayed to die before me-Father

The Hausa movie industry better known as Kannywood is in mourning over the death of one of her own, 27-year-old actress Ummi Fadila Muhamamd aka Loli Pop, who died on August 27, from heart complications she had been battling. In this interview ALIYU ASKIRA speaks with father of the deceased actress Mallam Muhammad.

Sir, this is not the best moment for interview but what can you tell us about your late daughter who we understand died while you were taking her to hospital?

(Speaking amidst tears) When I was taking her to hospital, yesterday, she told me that she noticed that I have suffered a lot shuttling between our house and the hospitals trying to get best medication for her.

She said that she will never forget all I have done to get her medical attention. Then she prayed for Allah to enable her leave this sinful world before me because she didn’t want me to die and leave her.

She said she preferred to be taking care of me so that I will be happy up to the time she will leave this world.

Your daughter was in the industry for over eight years and she was one of the few actresses who avoided scandal and controversy, was that because you are a disciplined family man?

Well, you can see it yourself. Since the announcement of my daughter’s death people have been trooping to our house because she live a peaceful life and avoided anything that would embarrass the family or her.

Usually, if she was not at home, then she must be on location with other of her colleagues. Ummi was always homely and very religious.

In fact, I would have been happier for her if she had got married before she died but that was her destiny. There is no way one can change what Allah has decreed to happen.

Sir, is there any other thing you would want to say about you late daughter?

Well, I am calling on all her colleagues that if there are those who owe her or she owes them to come forward and tell me so that I will settle whatever debt she left behind so that she would have peace of mind in her grave. Though I doubt very much if there are people that will come up and say they owe her, but as an actress it is possible for such to happen.
